ServerFileUpload and Login Credentials Posted: May 24, 2010
 

I am trying to pass a logged in username to the FileUpload project and have it  browse only the user's folder.


The problem i haveing is figuring out how to pass the username back to the FileUploadService.asmx


any ideas.

Hi Troy,


Using the UploadFiles and UploadData methods of the uploader you can pass the username to the web service using the Tag parameter.  Then in your web service Upload method this value will be available in the tag property:


public string Upload(string id, string mode, string path, string name, string filedata, bool overwrite, string tag, bool final)

}
